Applications
Digi optimizers control and optimize the operation of each individual HVACR equipment. However, a group of HVAC equipment may work together to condition the same space. For example, several CRAC or CRAH units may condition the same data center. A superstore or department store may use up to 100 rooftop units to condition the same open space.
Digi controller focuses on individual HVACR equipment optimal operation control. However, it can’t guarantee the optimal operation of all units for the same space. AIM-SWM is designed to achieve this goal.
Users can purchase AIM-SWM from Bes-tech directly and hire local HVAC technician to install. Bes-tech engineers can provide on-line assistance for installation and CX if needed.
Bes-tech provides customers turn-key projects as well. Call for details.
Benefits
Installation of AIM-SWM shall result in:
- Uniform space temperature control: Control temperature within ±2°F.
- Energy and/or Cost Savings: Reduction in electricity consumption or cost by 20% to 35%.
Key Features
- PSP: Plug, set, and play.
Principle
AIM-SWM leverages AI technologies to optimize multiple HVACR equipment performance. Here are the key principles and advantages:
- Multi-point Monitoring: AIM-SWM connects all Digi controllers together through data communication network or additional space temperature monitoring with Modbus sensors.
- N+1 Principles: Have more equipment on duty to prevent operation interruption due to equipment failure.
- 80% Rules: Setup the maximum speed based on power machine characteristics. For centrifugal power machines, setup the high limit based on the fan/pump law; and setup the high limit based on the heat transfer surface for other power machines.
- Primary Responder: Assign primary responder for each sub area. The primary responder shall take action to control the local target first.
- Swarm Speed and Status: All Digi controllers except primary responder shall remain in the same action or status.
- Critical Responding: AI leverage FDD technology to make critical responding actions or override local controller.
